For those who want to get off the beaten path…

Are you looking for a special trip, an original walking tour, an unforgettable experience through hilltowns and sacred mountains in Central Italy?
Are you dreaming to visit artistic towns or archeological sites?
Would you like to “taste”  flavours and  smells of typical products, such as truffle, olive oil, red and white wines produced in the green fields and vineyards of Umbria?
My tours are for those, who want to get off the beaten path!
I guide walking tours in ancient cities dating back to the Etruscan and Roman times, though hilltowns well preserved like in the Middle Ages, in places where you can experience first-hand the symbolism and the history of the past.

The Romanesque facade of the Duomo in Spoleto. XII century.

We’ll take the less traveled paths to discover, for example, some mystic and little known places, where lived saints like Francesco and Chiara from Assisi, Benedict and his sister Scolastica from Norcia, Rita from Cascia or Chiara from Montefalco…
We’ll walk between sacred woods and wild mountains, once inhabited by hermits and by knights Templar.
We’ll explore churches and buildings full of original works of art, painted by medieval artists like Arnolfo di Cambio, Cimabue, Giotto, Simone Martini, Pietro Lorenzetti, Lorenzo Maitani, and by famous Renaissance painters like Filippo Lippi, Luca Signorelli, Piero della Francesca, Perugino, Pinturicchio, Raphael…

Follow me in the magic places of Umbria to find the atmosphere of the Middle Ages: we’ll enter in Romanesque churches (like the Duomo of Spoleto) and in Gothic cathedrals (like the Duomo of Orvieto); we ‘ll visit public buildings, benedectine abbeys, byzantine churches.
If you are interested in Italic, Etruscan and Roman times, we can visit the many archeological museums and sites of Umbria, the many tombs, wells, gates and city walls of ancient towns like Perugia, Orvieto, Spello, Gubbio, Bevagna, Spoleto, Carsulae, Narni and many others…
